Interlibrary Loan

What is interlibrary loan (ILL)?

If you need a book or an article that Concordia University does not have (in print or online), we will attempt to get it for you from another library.

Who may use this service?

Only currently registered students, faculty, and staff of Concordia University may borrow through ILL. All others should make their requests through the ILL department of their local public library. Please have available your my.CU ID (Student ID) number.

How much does interlibrary loan cost?

Concordia University pays all charges incurred in getting materials to the CU library for you to pick up. If you do not attend classes on the main CU campus, the materials will be sent to you at the library's expense. You are responsible for any costs incurred to return the material to the CU Library.

How do I return the materials to the library?

You may keep photocopied articles that we obtain for you. You are responsible for returning the books you borrow to the library by the date that they are due.

If you have questions about interlibrary loan, contact Concordia University at library@cu-portland.edu or call 503-493-6461.
