  • Select appropriate databases for your topic
  • Generate appropriate terms to use in your searches
  • Adapt your search strategy to adjust your search results
  • Identify "popular" vs scholarly sources
  • Evaluate sources and their information by examining their purpose, authority, currency, and objectivity
  • Know where to find resources to assist with citations
  • Argumentative essay of 5 or more pages
  • At least 6 scholarly sources
    • Only 2 sources may be web pages (e.g. a source that is from a government agency or credible organization)
    • Journal articles or book chapters found online do not "count" as web pages
  • A works cited page
